Badrie or better known as Bob was born into a family of 11 siblings. 9 of whom were sisters and grew up knowing very much about girls and women.
Completing his High School Certificate in 1979, he joined the banking industry as a clerk, equipping himself with the Institute of Bankers qualification and rising up the ranks rapidly to be a branch manager in 1985 at the young age of 25. He left the bank in 1991 and decided to pursue his studies in a completely new field, Occupational Health and Safety much to the surprise of many.
He moved into HSE Consultancy in 2001 and led a force of over 40 SHOs working on several mega projects from 2001 to 2010 and in the process winning several accolades from clients and project delivery partners. It was during this time that Badrie began appreciating the value of lives and initiated & contributed to many community projects including the Safety at Schools project.
His passion for training and development and sharing of knowledge saw him make his biggest and most challenging life changing decision in 2011. Badrie became the Country Sponsor for Disney Institute in 2012 and offered for the very first time in Malaysia, two Disney Institute programmes that were fully subscribed.
From 2014 to 2016, he established notable collaborations with some of the biggest names in global executive education and jointly developed programmes that were successfully delivered in Malaysia.
In October 2016, he was approached by Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business to lead the corporate executive education unit of the school. Since coming on board, he has played a very strong role in building brand visibility of OYAGSB. Through his forward-thinking leadership, the school has gone on to become the nation’s premier executive education provider.
He conceptualised and developed several flagship programmes for OYAGSB that includes the hugely successful Malaysia Senior Leadership Programme, Asian Chartered Management and Leadership Programme and the BIG TULIP SUMMIT which gave birth to the Tulips Movement.
Badrie brings to the TULIPS MOVEMENT his strong collaborative and stakeholders engagement skills plus his deep passion for social learning and knowledge sharing activities that will be most beneficial in growing the movement.
He acts as the Papa Tulip and mentor to the other council members and his biggest aspiration is to lead the TULIPS MOVEMENT to inspire more women to unleash their potential to grow.
